I am by no means an expert hunter, I hunt because I love the wild and I love wild food. Harvesting an animal and processing it from start to finish gives you an appreciation for your connection with nature like nothing else.

People romanticize hunting in many different ways. The truth of the matter is that taking a life is never something to be taken lightly. Some deaths may be quicker and easier to watch, but the fact remains that you are killing an animal. Nevertheless, it’s important to learn to accept death as a part of life. The beauty in hunting is the opportunity it offers to enter into and become part of a working ecosystem; immersing yourself fully in the habits of the animals and in the landscapes you hunt.
